What others are saying

Some kind words from a few of our happy clients.

  • Working with Lillie is such a great opportunity to slow down, focus on purpose, and work toward our goals in an intentional way that is felt by both our team and our program participants.

—Matt Scott, Director of Storytelling & Engagement at Project Drawdown

  • Weaving together events that connect people and mission is equal parts art and science and Lillie Benowitz is one of the only people I've worked with who has mastered this balance. She is reliable, creative, calm, and the partner you want next to you to plan and execute meaningful gatherings.

—Nina Axelson, President and Founder of Grid Catalyst

  • Lillie is a joy to work with and a trusted partner. She listens closely, successfully translating ideas to action, creates excellent systems for diverse teams to work within, and catches the big and small things that add up to make great events. There are two markers of great experiences with a firm: do you go back to them? And, do you refer them? At TakeAction, we’ve done both and will do them both again with Sustain Studio.

—Elianne Farhat, Co-Executive Director at TakeAction Minnesota

  • Lillie has that rare combination of skills that make them equally invaluable as a planner, leader, logistics manager, and content creator. Lillie listens with loving attention, holds the visions of others with tender care, brings clarity to complex and challenging topics, and leads teams in executing transformational events with confidence—she is a gift to any team.

—Meleah Houseknecht, former colleague at Environmental Initiative & current M. Div Candidate

  • Working with Lillie on our congregational touchstone development was nothing short of transformational. She designed a beautifully structured process that honored our community's journey through the pandemic while helping us articulate our collective purpose with clarity and intention. Lillie's ability to create meaningful containers for authentic dialogue—using everything from reflective exercises to interactive polling—ensured every voice was heard and valued. Her facilitation didn't just capture where we'd been; they illuminated where we were called to go. Her work helped us move from a community that felt 'loving but insular' to one embracing deeper, more accessible relationships and bold justice-oriented focus.

—Rev. Jennifer L. Butler, Senior Minister of First Congregational United Church of Christ

  • Working with Lillie was a game-changer for our event. Her attention to detail, calm professionalism, and creative vision ensured that the planning process was always on track. She brings a wealth of experience and insight that improved the conference. Thanks to Lillie, the event was a major success, and we received many compliments from attendees about their experience as well. Lillie is lovely to work with and an invaluable partner in convening meaningful events.

—Ariel Kagan, Climate and Working Lands Program Director of Minnesota Farmers Union
